Would love to hear your experience or ideas...
I just renewed my contract with Premier Designs Jewelry and would love to hear how long you have been in your business, if it is a direct sales company, how you continue to get customers, and if you are from a small area (meaning small town)?
I ask because I am from a small community and have had difficulty getting outside of my area. Our company does not allow selling on the Internet. They believe in home parties only or catalog sales. They do not even have our catalog online. So the only way to get the word out is by showing a hard copy catalog.
I know there are the ideas of dropping catalogs off at dentist offices, doctor offices, etc, but that hasn't seemed to work for me very well. And I am somewhat afraid to ask a receptionist to watch the catalogs or take orders for me.
Maybe that means direct sales is not for me? I must admit I have come along way since joining Premier 3 years ago. However, I still hate asking people to do parties for me. I don't like being pushy or the one that as soon as they see me they are like hide she's going to try and sell me something or ask for a party. :)
